Nothing complex, but a fairly smooth cigar. Notes are generally consistent of nutty-like sweetness. Easy draw and decent burn. After 3 months of rest since the last review, a subtle note of wood now comes through.

FWIW, I go back and forth on this brand. His "Cargo" line is an underrated budget cigar, some of his high end offerings have been underwhelming. I do like the Vintage 90s series. Right off the bat, the Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper tore when I removed the labels. Draw is loose, but smoke volume is good. The box pressed 54 ring gauge is nice, comparable in construction to the Avo Synchro Ritmo which was also a 6x54 box pressed with loose draw. The mildness of the Connecticut shade binder pairs well with the Nicaraguan filler. Gives the cigar a unique depth and complexity. Nice hit of almond sweetness between the first and second thirds. Good burn, ash holds with a minimal flaking, temperature is excellent. This is a medium bodied smoke, although it does get the black pepper finish.

Worst cigar I’ve ever smoked unfortunately.
