Gift from an employee, not half bad for a cheap stick. Surprisingly mild for its color, the appearance becomes off putting after smoking because it's such a mild smoke that it's color seems unnatural and artificial. Sweet BBQ sauce, fuji apple, black pepper and cedar. Decent draw and smoke production. Burn line is perfect. I may actually pick up some of these to keep around for quick smokes and to 0ass out to friends. Color me surprised.
Nice flavor, Expected it to be a bit bolder. Feels like the flavor does not match up to the color. Overall an incredible draw that burned very evenly, did not have to correct it a single time till the end when it started burning uneven just a little.
Overall an incredilbe looking cigar and eye cathcher too, would definitely buy and smoke it again.
The Macanudo Inspirado family has always been a reliable friend to me. The Black hit my happy spot tonight with its copious, thick smoke and strong profile. It's not best in class, but for the price it's hard to beat in my book. I paired it with a honey whiskey because I've had a sweet tooth all day. The overly sweet wiskey coupled with the rich, oily leaves of the stick had my pallette swinging wildly. (Side note: Jack Daniel Honey is terrible, but I didn't have any Wild Turkey American Honey which is much smoother.) As usual I was reading financial stuff as I puffed. It remained lit even through long periods of idling in the ash tray. No touchups needed during my 90 minute smoke. Very surprised. The draw on the first 20% was trying, but it settled into an easy draw. One of my better smokes in the last few days.
