Very well wrapped cigar, almost too tight which slightly affected the draw. Pepper and vanilla notes. Warm, mild smoke. Despite the sherry cask aging, nothing outstanding to indicate it.
While the Sherry aspect seems absent, the barrel itself is front and center. Strong woody taste to this cigar; a pairing with red wine is excellent. The draw is nice and open, and the burn is perfect throughout (no touching up required). The ash is mostly white with a touch of grey, very thick (no layers or flakes), and holds on well. Not what I expected this cigar to taste like, but it smokes perfectly (great big plumes and an easy draw).
